Resisting what IS.

March 6, 2023  Dr. Shelby

So often we resist what IS.

We resist the things we don’t like or don’t want to BE in our current reality.

And it continues to persists.

And in my own experience, there is often this feeling that if I actually ACCEPTED what is, or what happened, that somehow I was approving of it,

somehow I wanted it

and if I actually accepted it, that maybe it would never go away.

which actually isn’t even true.

Ironically enough,

over the last few years,

I have found that when I fully surrender to what IS

I fully acknowledge

accept

and not make what IS wrong, bad, or something to be judged

that’s when a space opens up,

thats when the resistance dissolves,

thats when the heaviness, the burden, the weight of carrying the challenge,

finally is allowed to drop

be released

and funny enough,

to be changed.

SO, if you’re reading this,

and there is something in your current life situation right now

and when you think of it

your body cringes,

you don’t like it,

you want to change it,

you wish *it* didn’t even exist,

and you feel emotions, maybe sadness, fear, or anger,

BE with it.

accept that it is what it is

and nothing else

without meaning even,

and watch what happens.

and you may ask…

how the HeLL do I accept this?

how do I actually *BE*?

I don’t even know what that means.

Okay, no problem I got you.

you start with getting fully present to *it*

breathe

feel any emotion come up

watch any statement / belief come up

and just BE with it

continue to breathe

not reacting

not avoiding

not distracting

just BEING.

and notice the shift.

notice what opens.

notice what changes.

then keep practicing 🙂

you got this more than you know,

XO
