One of the quickest ways to feel like you have momentum,
is to take action.
nike got it right when they said
“just do it”
However, having coached dozens of clients,
and spending hundreds of hours doing my own inner work,
I have discovered
a hidden step,
a secret key,
in achieving momentum consistently,
is to FIRST…..
get present
and dissolve the negative emotions
and check in with your negative belief system
the mental “loops”
and the “crazies” that keep coming up
that you say about yourself
that you say about others
that you say about your dreams.
and shift that FIRST.
because here’s the thing,
you can take all the action you want
and continue to get the same results.
and then you feel EVEN MORE stuck.
As probably one of the smartest people in history said…
“you can’t solve a problem with the same mind that created the problem”
Have you ever felt this way?
I sure have.
Many times.
And it was frustrating, overwhelming, and impacted my confidence and self esteem.
There were times when I thought to myself “when will I ever get this right?”
So yes, to feel like you are moving in the right direction
action is 100% necessary
However, I will add,
dissolve the emotions and unhelpful beliefs FIRST.
this will actually have you accessing a DIFFERENT part of your brain
this will have you using your executive centers in your brain
instead of your amygdala
you know, the fight or flight center.
In other words,
instead of reacting,
you will be responding.
And when you are responding
you have access to new information
new actions
new ways of being
and THIS,
this is what gets you out of your old patterning,
out of the rut
back in the fast lane
back on the tip of the rocket
towards awesomeness
with new results
of what you prefer
so if you are feeling stuck,
overwhelmed,
feeling like you’re not making any progress
deal with all of your emotions and beliefs FIRST,
before you take action
and then
“just do it”
and I will bet,
you will feel like you are making progress.
